Italian Sausage Pasta
A savory pasta with sausage, onions, and herbs
Ingredients
4 quarts water
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 pound Italian sausage
1 yellow onion, chopped
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup dry white wine (optional)
1/2 cup sun-dried tomatoes
1 tablespoon fresh oregano, or 1 teaspoon dry
1 pound pasta of your choice
grated Parmesan, as garnish
Steps
Step 1
Bring water to a boil
Step 2
Heat olive oil in a skillet
Step 3
Remove sausage from the casings, crumble into skillet, and brown
Step 4
Set aside sausage, then brown onion and garlic
Step 5
Add wine (or water), then the sun-dried tomatoes, drained and chopped
Step 6
Add sausage and oregano
Step 7
Cook pasta, then toss with the sauce and top with Parmesan
