This ancient beetroot dates to around 1850. Medium size with flat purplish-red roots with excellent sweet taste. as opposed from the more savoury varieties. The tops can be used in your green salad mix. Excellent sweet taste! Plant direct in rows 25cm apart and thin to 10cm spring through to Very flat red beet shaped like a cipolla onion. Excellent taste. Very sweet beet; no earthy taste to these. Nice red tops. Tops become dark bronze/red in cool weather. Ready in 55-60 or so days. 8 grams
